Calling all volunteers to save the trees!
Come join the Coalition for the Capital Crescent Trail to remove invasive vines and plants that are killing native trees, and help us restore native habitat along the trail. We're partnering on this monthly stewardship event with the Little Falls Watershed Alliance.
No experience necessary. We'll provide gloves and tools.
When: Sunday, April 25, 10 am-noon
Where: Meet on the Capital Crescent Trail at Neil Potter Plaza (by the bridge at River Road). There is parking on Landy Lane. If you're late, look for signs.
Who: Open to all. Volunteers under 14 must be accompanied by a responsible adult.
Pre-approved for MCPS SSL hours through LFWA.

Bring water to drink and sunblock. Wear long sleeves, long pants, socks that cover your ankles, and closed toe shoes.
Weather policy: We generally hold invasive pulls as long as there is not pouring rain, thunderstorms or deep snow. We will post messages on this page by 9 am on the day of the event if we need to cancel.
