Calling All Volunteers!
Join the Coalition for the Capital Crescent Trail to remove invasive vines and shrubs along the CCT, so native trees and plants can thrive. We're partnering with the Little Falls Watershed Alliance on this project to restore native habitat along the trail.
No experience necessary! Clippers and gloves will be provided, or bring your own.
When: Saturday, May 13, 10 am-12 pm
Where: Meet at the parking lot of the Bethesda Outdoor Pool, 6300 Hillandale Rd, Chevy Chase, MD 20815. Find us near the Trail crossing.
Who: Open to all. Volunteers under 14 must be accompanied by a responsible adult.
Pre-approved for MCPS SSL hours through LFWA.

Bring water and sunblock. Wear long sleeves, long pants, socks that cover your ankles and closed toe shoes to protect against poison ivy, prickers and the sun.
Weather policy: We generally hold invasive pulls as long as there is not pouring rain, thunderstorms or deep snow. We will post messages on this page by 9 am on the day of the event if we need to cancel.
