Calling All Volunteers to Free the Trees!
Join the Coalition for the Capital Crescent Trail and the Little Falls Watershed Alliance to remove invasive vines and shrubs along the CCT, so that native trees can thrive. No experience necessary!
We'll provide the tools, gloves and instruction you need to save the native plants that sustain local wildlife, the watershed's fragile ecosystem, and the trail's natural beauty.
When: Saturday, July 16, 2022, 10 am - 12 pm
Where: Meet on the CCT where it crosses Dorset Ave. in the Kenwood neighborhood. Parking on Kennedy Drive, which runs parallel to the CCT, just to the west.
Who: Open to all. Volunteers under 14 must be accompanied by a responsible adult. Pre-approved for MCPS SSL hours through LFWA.
